Name: Felicity Smoak Door: She's a Dominant from the Before Times Canon: DCTV (Arrow, specifically) Canon Point: Post Oliver leaving with Mar Novu Age: 32? Appearance: Felicity is 5'5" tall, though she adds to that height with heels, often on a daily basis. She dresses in a comfortable, but extremely fashionable, style often in bright colors meant to stand out. She has long, blonde hair that she usually wears pulled back and/or up, and blue eyes that are seen from behind a pair of glasses unless she's called to appear at a formal or semi-formal affair. She looks a lot like this. History: Here and also here Personality: ➥ LOYAL When we first meet Felicity, she is working in the IT department of Queen Consolidated, but also trusted by it's head - Walter Steele. He believes in her and she shows distress at the idea of letting him down. When Oliver Queen begins to make strange requests, she does them both because she loves a good mystery and because she feels loyalty to the company that hired her. His father's company. Later, when Oliver is forced to trust her with his secrets, he does so because he knows that she'll keep those secrets and she does. Every move she makes after for Team Arrow is out of that loyalty; she risks her life and breaks the law repeatedly for those closest to her. When those people are hurt or in danger, Felicity goes out of her way to do what she can to make sure they're unharmed. Though she doesn't have any particular physical skills, she uses her wits, her computer knowledge, and that 'ride or die' attitude to help her friends. Duplicity Addition: The friends she made in the city became important to her and like her family. She ensured they were taken care of as much as she could and spent time with them - wine nights with her girlfriends, date nights with her submissive, and even took the time to spend time with her former submissive even after he'd killed her because she understood it was the city, despite it being what he was at heart. Loyalty is something she believes in wholeheartedly. ➥ RECKLESS There are times that we see Felicity make decisions for others without consulting them that ends up leading to an even worse situation than where everyone started. In college, she created a super-computer virus and later let her college boyfriend take the fall for that and get arrested by the FBI. Even though she's told it's not safe, that someone died doing what she's done, Felicity continues looking into Moira Queen's illicit activities. She goes undercover as bait for a serial killer, infiltrated a competing company as a delivery group, and walked into a mob boss' den... all because she wanted to prove her worth. Recently, she's taken herself out of witness protection, against advice from... oh, everyone she knows, because she's determined to find and kill Ricardo Diaz, the man trying to destroy Oliver and all of Star City. Though she knows it puts her in danger and keeps a target on her back, she does this because she thinks she has to and because she's tired of feeling helpless and she's determined to make him pay for the pain he's caused her, her family, and her friends. Duplicity Addition: This was exacerbated in Duplicity at times when she hacked the Administration via the Network and ended up in the city jail for a week. She continually spent time with her submissive - a self-proclaimed serial killer, who became a Dominant by a twist of city fate, and then murdered her, too. The truth is, danger doesn't put Felicity off in the slightest. Whether this is something that's rubbed off on her because of Oliver or because of her time in the city, it's hard to tell. ➥ VINDICTIVE After the loss of people closest to her, Felicity gets to a point where she no longer cares about what it costs her personally and decides to make a point as big as she can. Again, she knows she cannot attack people physically, so she goes after what hurts them the most in other ways. She has a tendency to lose herself in revenge when she takes on tasks where others might fight and let it go, but after the death of Laurel Lance and her boyfriend Billy - who died when Prometheus tricked Oliver into killing him - she becomes more 'seek and destroy at any cost', often putting her own life in danger in confronting criminals, letting them go in order to track them or teaming up with potentially shady other organizations in order to hunt them down. It's not a stretch to say that there are times that Felicity is the one that actively encourages Oliver Queen to kill rather than be killed or, in certain circumstances, says that killing someone is an only choice rather than a potential choice. Duplicity Addition: After being in the city for so long, Felicity found it difficult to really care about the consequences of her actions. If someone did her friends wrong, she was looking for revenge. Though she cares less about her own well being, she doesn't like being double crossed and she will absolutely seek retribution for people who do her, her family, and her friends wrong. ➥ AWKWARD If there is an innuendo or sexual connotation to be made from an accidental babble, Felicity Smoak has made it. There are times where she stutters or stammers her way through a sentence simply because she's caught off guard at the authority of the person in front of her (her boss, Oliver's mother, a person she admires) and then there are times she does it because she's attracted to the person in front of her (Oliver, Ray Palmer, Barry Allen), and sometimes she just can't articulate her thoughts well and her mouth runs away with her mind. Duplicity Addition: ... she may actually be less awkward? LOL Just Kidding. Powers and Abilities: Though she comes from a world of meta-humans, Felicity Smoak is your average woman though she does have an incredible amount of computer knowledge. She graduated from MIT at 19 with her Masters in Cyber Security and Computer Sciences, and she can (and has) hack almost anything - including the City's administration, which sent her to jail for a week.
